Tony, great site, have always loved the Kokomo Albums, especially the first, and have just bought the reissued double cd. This has brought me to search for info online, thereby stumbling on your website. I had also been wondering what Hamish Stuart was doing and up popped the info about playing in his pub!
Listening to Kokomo again has been great but now I've listened to your samples I am just going on the net to buy a couple of albums.
Been living in Nigeria for 12 years so buying new music to listen to on my return, hope to hear you playing live soon, also Hamish.
Cheers

Greetings from Republique du Congo,
I hope that you and your family are settling in back in Brussels. I'm sure that you are missing Tbilisi, and Tblisi is missing you as well. Thank you so much for your friendship and your wonderful gift of music, I will never forget it! All the best to you, fem and the boys...Always,

Jamie

P.S. I listened to "Sunshine Everyday" last night, your music is always with me Tony!

Here I decided to send you a massage as I don’t have opportunity to say good bye personally, because I’m not in Georgia right now…
My mommy told me, that you are leaving Tbilisi in two days .
Don’t leave us forever please, come back to us soon. You became so dear for so many people and gifted so many precious moments to us…
We love and adore you, your music follows us everywhere.
Take care and don’t forget, Georgia waits for you!
Lots of love ,

It's a pitty fot Mary Dover, but we are glad that you and your familly are coming back to Belgium. Hope to see you soon (in the music village in Brussels) or if possible for a gig somewhere in Antwerp. PS. The video of your gig at Hamish pub in Faversham is great

Tony and Martine

August 15, 2008

HI Tone, Fem, Patrick and Joseph,

We think of you all and look forward to seeing you soon in Brussels, a city Mary Dover does not like! But Mary, there's no need to be insulting to all the people who live there who are also going through an idenity crisis of there own. Nothing compared to the dreadful things we see coming from Georgia, but just the mis-use of power by people who call themselves polititians and are meant to be working FOR the people, but, like all men in government, work for their own ends.

Words said by people, however well intended - like Mary - are the words that exacerbate the problems of the world and the worst sort of English attitude. Sorry Mary, maybe we will meet one day and sort it out over a bottle of red wine!

LOL to you all!

Tony and Martine

Hello Tony!
Remember me from the Kokomo days? (I guess it's been about 30 years!) You and I got pretty drunk one night at the pub near the old Royal Free at Grays Inn Road. (Southern Comfort if I remember correctly). I was a student nurse. We met at Dingwalls. We were friends for a while. I had heard you were in Georgia and I was worried about you. I'm relieved to find out that you and your family are OK. Stay safe. You and yours are in my thoughts.

John Sussewell a/k/a "Suss!"

August 12, 2008

Tony, Femke... You guys have been on my heart for quite awhile now. From the USA, I don't trust the media, always knowing what the motivation was for the attacks however unjustified. Local media here in the USA are only now coming out with what many already knew. On the other hand, I was very glad to get your email a few days ago reporting that you and your Family are well and in the midst of your plans. Please man... stay in touch; I'm on the move too, as I reported in my email response back to you. With much love, respect and hope that one day we'll work together again.

Lyn

August 12, 2008

Dear Tony, it was great to see you and the band in the atmospheric 606 club, following the chilly Abbeyfest! "Oh" is fast becoming a favourite, reading the background to the songs is such a great touch; and I'm so happy to have a brand new (unscratched) "Sunshine Everyday" which keeps me alert during long drives!

If I ever made it onto Desert Island Discs (I'm not at all famous so it won't ever happen) I can honestly say that I would choose at least two of your songs to keep me going on that desert island.

Very best wishes to you and your family in the coming weeks.

Hi Tony,

I saw you at the Chichester festivities in July. My Granmother knows Jeannie and Paul Rogerson very well and I have known both, as well as Fran Rogerson, since I was a child.

I thought you were fantastic! I am fifteen and when my Granmother invited me I was a little tentative as well, teenager and Grandma you can understand I'm sure, but I absolutely loved every minute. I can't believe that was the first time I have heard of you! I saw Neil Diamond perform a few nights after and the first thing I said to my Dad when I arrived home was, 'He was alright but not a touch on Tony O'Malley though'!!

I thought Fran was brilliant as well. I haven't seen her play before and thought she was incredible.

Thanks for the great start to my summer holidays. It's helped me with my own piano and singing abilities, modest as they are!!

Hi Tony, happy belated birthday for the 15th!
Long time no see (20 yearish).
Dont know if you'll remember me? Stef I used 2 C U @ Brixton, Camberwell & The Marion. Rumours of my death 14 years ago were slightly exaggerated - still alive & kicking!
Say hello to Dy & Neil from me, up here in Scotland.
Cheers!

A Very Happy Birthday on the 15th. 50!!! ALREADY!!!

Great sets at Goodwood, 3 Days, Hope "The Lord" has you all back in 2009..?

Fantastic to see the Band in such great form, it all sounds great when Mel plays with you, Neil still drives it on, and the ol' guy on the Drums still has it, even with another extra gig with Ferry on Sat night!!

See you in the Autum we hope, wishing the U.K. "Manager" good luck with getting more gigs!!

Hope all goes well in the withdrawal from Georgia, and all best wishes to F. and the Boys.

Cheers! Mike H.

Hi Tony, my shot in the arm was well overdue, great to see you. Old songs superb as ever, new ones just show you havn't lost the plot. I loved the numbers with the violin - Enough is Enough. Unfortunately I'd never been to Goodwood so the other attractions pulled me away from all of your sets, but, I got my fix and now looking forward to the next. Missing you in the UK.

Deep Deep regards Lee

Tony, am I to understand that "H" passed? Is this the same "Helen" we knew back in the day and you referred to on 11 May, 2008?

Thanks for your email, but since we've worked together with Kokomo back in '75 - '77, (and the few trips I've been able to make over the Big Pond since then), it's been difficult keeping up with you. And you want to know how I'm doing? Email me again with the info... you simply asked that I post something here.
